On July 4, Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto welcomed 11 participants—including two who travelled from Ottawa—for an English Half-Day Meditation Retreat themed "Find Peace in Every Step." Designed for people seeking greater balance in everyday life, the retreat offered a welcoming space to slow down, reconnect with the present moment, and discover how mindfulness can be lived beyond the meditation cushion.

The 35th Overseas Chinese Choirs Festival was held on July 4 at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, bringing together 14 Chinese choirs and more than 520 performers in a celebration of music, friendship, and cultural heritage. Under the baton of conductor Monie Leung, the Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto Choir had the honor of leading the singing of O Canada to open the concert. The choir then presented selections from Sounds of the Human World, including I Vow, Great Dharma to the West, and Light of Hope, sharing the Dharma through music and inspiring audiences with messages of compassion, peace, and hope.

More than 600 people from diverse cultural backgrounds gathered at Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto on July 1 for its annual Prayer for Canada and Temple Open House, celebrating Canada Day through mindfulness, cultural exchange, and community connection. Now in its third year, the event welcomed families, newcomers, and visitors of all ages, providing an opportunity to experience Buddhist culture while celebrating Canada's diversity and shared values.

Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto welcomed more than 40 children to its Buddha's Light Children's Summer Camp from June 29 to July 1. Under the theme "Little Bodhisattvas Light Up the World," the three-day camp helped children cultivate kindness, self-awareness, teamwork, and compassion through the practice of the Three Acts of Goodness.

The 6th Meadowvale Scout Group (Buddha’s Light Toronto Scout Group) held its annual Summer Camp from June 26–28 at Mount Nemo in Burlington, Ontario. Centered on the theme "Peace and Harmony," the three-day camp combined outdoor adventures, teamwork, skills training, and a prayer ceremony to nurture independence, respect for diversity, and a spirit of service.
