Finding Flow in Nature: Meditation, Art & Community

July 10, 2022

With the support and leadership of Venerable Chueh Fan, the Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto, Buddha's Light Centre Waterloo has new services provided to support the spiritual well-being of modern people. In order to actively reach out to people in need in the community, the Meetup social platform, "FindingInner Peace and Happiness" was set up. Within two weeks, more than 30 people joined the group.

On July 10th, collaborated with artist Logan Soeder and organized the first Healing Art program - FindingFlow in Nature: Meditation, Art & Community. It was held under the shade trees in the backyard garden of the Centre. Logan taught all participants how to capture the beauty of nature and inspired everyone to observe the dynamics and energy of the trees in silence before painting.

All participants were very happy to share their insights, including realizing how wonderful the shade of big trees is for mankind, feeling the power of big trees that stand upright and strong, the upward vitality and calmness, and the love. Cindy Choi also shared with everyone the insights of Venerable Master Hsing Yun on "Coexistent and Oneness" and "Environmental and Spiritual Preservation."
