Buddha's Light Toronto Scouts Finishes Up Incredible Mission

October 24, 2021

The Buddha's Light Toronto Scouts, also known as the 6th Meadowvale Scout group finished the makeover project of painting the Temple’s well-worn exterior signboard. The Venture group together with their parents came together on Oct 24 to participate in the project.

Scouter Tony Massari and his son Peter first sanded and cleaned the signboard so that it could take on a fresh coat of paint. At the same time, the ventures put on their creative hats to carve out pumpkins in the basement of the temple. After that, these carved pumpkins were displayed at the front entrance of the Temple.

After lunch, under the guidance of Venerable Ru An and scout leaders, the group started the painting work. The ventures worked with utmost care. Even as they got paint on their faces and clothes, they were oblivious and even joked that it's a sign of being artists! Everyone had a most pleasant experience.
