2024 佛光山供僧道糧

佛光山寺自開山以來，由於護法檀那發心護持，本寺僧眾得以安心辦道，弘法利生；護持之德，誠乃功德無量！開山星雲大師開示「供僧不是供養熱鬧，而是供養辦道；不是供養個人，而是供養大眾；不是供養一餐，而是供養全年：不是供養一時，而是供養永生。」為感謝諸位護法道糧供僧，僧眾在農曆七月誦持《地藏經》，回向護法檀那及其宗親父母。多倫多佛光山更定於8月17日啟建供僧道糧功德回向法會，敬期十方善信參與，共霑法益。

Offerings to the Triple Gem and Support the Monastery

Fo Guang Shan Monastery has been able to propagate the Dharma for the benefit of all sentient beings through the enthusiastic support of its devotees and benefactors since its establishment. The founder, Venerable Master Hsing Yun said, “The best way to make offerings to the Triple Gem and support the monastery is to make offerings to the monastic community rather than to just one person or a small number of people; to the entire year rather than for only one meal.” In this way, we are supporting the Sangha and helping them practice and spread Buddhism.

In order to thank devotees and benefactors for their support over the year, monastics will recite the Ksitigarbha Sutra and transfer all merits to devotees and benefactors’ parents, ancestors, and loved ones during the entire seventh lunar month. Furthermore, on August 17th, the Temple will conduct the Sangha Offering Merit Dedication Service. Everyone is welcome to participate.
