易際漲教授,多倫多大學人間佛教研究院創院院長,哈佛大學比較神學博士後,多倫多大學哲學神學博士。專研禪宗、人間佛教思想及與西方哲學神學的對話。本次講座將以故事與公案的方式,深入淺出地探討星雲大師「我是佛」與禪宗「佛法不二」的思想是否相通,及其對我們現實生活的意義與應用。  

Professor Yi Jizhang is the Founding Director of the Institute of Humanistic Buddhism at the University of Toronto, a Postdoctoral Fellow in Comparative Theology at Harvard University, and holds a PhD in Philosophical Theology from the University of Toronto. His research specializes in Chan (Zen) Buddhism, Humanistic Buddhist thought, and its dialogue with Western philosophy and theology. In this lecture, he will use stories and koans to explore in an accessible way whether Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s idea of “I am Buddha” and the Chan concept of the “non-duality of Buddhadharma” are interconnected, as well as their meaning and application in our everyday lives.
