Upholding Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s concept of “Live in the Fragrance of Books,” a total of 66 reading groups with more than 400 members have registered with the Humanistic Buddhism Reading Association of Toronto.

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020, BLIA Toronto Chapter encouraged all subchapters to take the initiative to set up reading groups. Encourage thousands of members to taste the Dharma delicacy through reading. Through various reading group gatherings, members benefit from the wisdom of the Buddha's teachings, right mindfulness and self-discovery of positivity to live a peaceful life.

The reading groups of the Humanistic Buddhism Reading Association are various and filled with creativity. These study groups included the Choir Study Group, Sutra Calligraphy Study Group, and Study Groups of different volunteer groups. The reading materials including various Fo Guang Shan publications, Master Hsing Yun Complete Works, online resources such as iBuddha, Merit Times, etc.
